SAE stands for Society of Agricultural Engineers. SAE is an international organization that deals with agricultural engineering. The organization was founded in 1907 and has over 100,000 members in more than 100 countries. The organization deals with a variety of topics related to agricultural engineering, such as crop production, irrigation, drainage, and soil and water conservation.

SAE stands for Sons of American Revolution. The group was founded in 1889 and is a historical, educational, and patriotic organization. They celebrate the history of the United States of America and promote patriotism through events and programs held throughout the year.
What is the difference between SAE and other types of agricultural organizations?
The SAE is a professional organization focused on advancing the engineering of agricultural machinery and systems. Unlike other types of agricultural organizations, the SAE does not focus on production agriculture or on advocating for specific farming practices. Instead, the SAE supports research and educational activities related to improving the design, function, and safety of agricultural equipment and systems.
History of SAE
The history of SAE begins in 1907 with a small group of engineers who pooled their resources to investigate problems of mutual interest. From these humble beginnings, SAE has grown to be an international organization with over 100,000 members in over 150 countries.
How did SAE come to be?
The roots of SAE can be traced back to the National FFA Organization, which was founded in 1928. In 1948, the organization established the National Future Farmers of America Foundation to provide financial support for FFA programs and activities. In 1950, the National Future Farmers of America Alumni Association was formed to engage former FFA members in supporting the organization.
In 1955, a group of agribusiness professionals came together to form the Cooperative Education Service (CES), which later became the Agricultural Education Division of the National Association of State Universities and Land Grant Colleges (NASULGC). CES developed curriculum materials and provided training and support to Agricultural Education teachers.
In 1960, CES partnered with FFA to create SAE grants, which allowed students to receive financial assistance for approved SAE projects. The first official SAE Handbook was published in 1963, and has since been revised several times. In 1965, NASULGC and CES merged to form the American Association for vocational Agriculture (AAEA).
In 2006, AAEA changed its name to the National Association of Agricultural Educators (NAAE). NAAE continues to provide support and resources for agricultural educators across the country.

-In 1915, SAE published the first vehicle safety standards.
-In 1917, SAE created the first automotive engineering department at a university (Case School of Applied Science).
-In 1919, SAE established the first formal requirements for automotive lighting systems.
-In 1936, SAE published the first design specifications for modern automobile brakes.
-In 1942, SAE developed J1939, the standard data bus protocol used on most heavy duty vehicles today.
-In 1944, SAE established the first formal quality assurance program for automotive parts and components.
-In 1953, SAE launched its international program with the goal of advancing mobility engineering worldwide.
-In 1962, SAE published the first design specifications for seat belts in vehicles.
-In 1972, SAE introduced the J1708 data bus standard used on most light duty vehicles today.
-In 1976, SAE created the Standards Development Process to ensure that all new standards are developed using a consensus process involving all interested parties.

SAE(Student Association of Farm Enterprises) has been an integral part of agricultural institutions and organizations for producing graduates that are ready to meet the demands of the industry. SAE provides agricultural students with extensive, hands-on experience in all areas of farm management.
